Girl Scout Badges: Cadettes

Bring your Cadette Girl Scout troop to Fisk Avenue DIY Studio to earn your Woodworking badge in a fun, hands-on environment! Scouts can choose to build either a blanket ladder or a cedar planter box, with guidance from our experienced instructors. Each project covers all the essentials for the badge, including keeping projects level, using a hammer, screwdriver, and drill (and understanding when to use each), plus demonstrations of different saw types. Scouts will also learn how to sand and finish wood, with hands-on experience using an orbital sander. When you book and make a deposit, your troop’s spot in our historic studio is reserved, and we’ll send you a ticket link so you can finalize your group’s headcount before the workshop.

Liability waiver must be signed before beginning any work with tools. Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. We do not offer refunds for workshops, but do offer a one-time transfer to a different date if you were unable to attend.
